Job Summary

The Medical Transportation Driver (CNA) is responsible for safely transporting wheelchair-bound residents from the hospital to the facility for admittance using a 15-passenger bus. This role supports the admissions process by ensuring timely, safe, and courteous transport while representing the facility with professionalism and compassion.

Major Duties & Critical Tasks

  • Safely transport residents—primarily wheelchair transports—from hospitals to the facility for admission.

  • Adhere to facility standards and organizational competencies, including maintaining professional communication, following safety protocols, and providing respectful, patient-centered service.

Required Education & Experience

  • Must be a licensed driver in the state of Florida.

  • Must hold an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license, maintained as a condition of employment.

  • Must have an acceptable, clean 3-year driving record.

  • Must be comfortable driving a 15-passenger bus.

  • Experience transporting wheelchair residents preferred.

Additional Notes

  • This position is evening shift only (4p–9p).

  • Transport is specifically for wheelchair residents being admitted to the facility from the hospital.
